Approval of non-Latin website addresses is 'biggest technical change to internet'
The approval of website addresses using non-Latin characters has been described as the ''biggest technical change to the internet'' since its creation 40 years ago.
Internet addresses using scripts such as Hebrew, Hindi and Korean will be available by mid-2010 after their use was approved on Friday by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) board at a meeting in Seoul, South Korea.
Nations and territories will be able to apply for internet address endings reflecting their name and using their national language from November 16, when ICANN's Internationalised Domain Name (IDN) fast track process begins.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with new UX interface is the most powerful Android phone yet

Yesterday, we stumbled upon a new video of the Rachael UI that the upcoming Android-packing Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 was supposed to have. Well, the company launched the phone today and changed two things while at it: First, it’s now called the Xperia X10 (presumably so that it isn’t confused with the Nokia X3) and second, the Rachael UI has now been renamed the UX (short for User eXperience), due to some legal loopholes.

Windows 7 or Ubuntu 9.10 - Which one Best
Over the past few days I’ve been thinking quite a bit about the differences between Microsoft’s latest Windows 7 and Canonical’s Ubuntu 9.10.
Specifically, I’ve been thinking about the strengths and weaknesses of each of the operating systems. Is a free operating system really as good as one that you pay for?
Let’s take a look at several aspects of using operating systems and examine the various strengths and weaknesses of each OS.
Special: 40th birthday Internet- 20 Milestones in the net's Development
The first message was sent across Arpanet exactly 40 years ago, on 29 October 1969. We look at a few of the milestones in its development.

The birthday is one of many that could have been picked
– the name “internet” is only 35 years old, for instance, while the first
email was sent 45 years ago.
But Arpanet, the defence computer network that grew accidentally into the
all-encompassing, era-defining, economy-changing,
amusing-pictures-of-cats-facilitating behemoth that is today’s internet,
seems as good a place to start as any.

Motorola DROID Review
The deed is complete and the joining of two unfamiliar players has come to fruition – finally. Verizon Wireless has held out long enough from embracing the Android camp because of the fear losing complete control in the way apps and media are carefully handled on their devices. It's been too long that customers were given only a single outlet for most of their needs with Verizon tacking on software like V-Cast music, VZ Navigator, and VZAppStore – all locking down the user experience. Now that the marriage between these two unlikely names is set in stone, it's a refreshing site to witness on sore eyes that Verizon has come to grasp Android and its community of open development.
