Gandi.net the French registrar celebrating tenth anniversary and offering free of cost domain names to anyone. The company is giving away 55,000 promotional codes in the following ten days. These codes can be employed by old or new clients and will allow users to acquire domain names for free from Gandi and some of their partners.
Gandi already started offering codes at 14:00 GMT March 1, 2010, the promotion being available for the following ten days till March 10. Every day, the registrar will give away 1,000 more promotional codes. There will be 1,000 on the first day, 2,000 on the second, 3,000 on the third and so on and 10,000 on ten march.
The promotional codes can be used by old and new clients alike, and they can even be passed to other persons as gifts for them to employ. Depending on how long a person has been a client with Gandi, the company will issue more promotional codes. A new client will only receive one promotional code, while a client who was been with Gandi since it started back in 2000 would be able to get ten codes.
Domain names like .com, .net, .info, .me, .mobi, .uk, .fr, .tel, .be or .eu can be acquired using these codes until March 31 2010. After the domain names have passed their time limit, the clients have the option to let them expire or renew the registration with Gandi. The promotional codes can't be used to renew or transfer an existing domain name.
This campaign comes to celebrate the company's tenth anniversary since it received its ICANN certification as an international domain name registrar. It was one of the first domain registrars in France to do so. Gandi manages around 965,000 domain names in more than 190 countries, for 1,080,000+ clients, being the largest registrar in the country and the sixth in Europe.
How To Register for Free Code: Register an account at https://www.gandi.net/login/new than login at https://ten.gandi.net using your Gandi Handle, which you'll got via mail. Here you'll see a Generate button (The timing of this give way is different for all areas, for India it start at 7 PM). Now click on generate button until it show a code for you. Just below that you'll see a search box to search for domain if available or not. Search in it and go for next steps, at end at payment page, it'll show an option for enter your code. So don't waste your time and just go now for one.
