Acer Announced Acer Stream Android Smartphone

Acer Stream, a new smartphone, announced by computer maker Acer on Thursday. Acer Stream runs under Google's Android operating system. According to the Taiwan-based maker, the new handset is meant to put together the latest in technology, design, performance and entertainment. Acer Stream comes to the market as a high-end multimedia smartphone, which has been optimized for watching movies, listening to music or browsing the Internet.     Acer Stream has a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display that boasts a WVGA resolution, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor complemented by 512 MB of RAM, 3G+ connectivity for streaming (HSDPA 7.2 Mbps), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with 720p HD video recording capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, or an HDMI port for TV connectivity. 
Acer Stream comes with a 2GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additionally storage, with an 8GB card included in the package.
Acer Stream is elegant and minimalist design, which is coupled with highly-appealing user interface and technical specs. Users will enjoy smooth animations and fine graphics by browsing photos on a fluid 3D interface, fast access to favorite applications, easy switching between applications courtesy of a History panel, as well as a great deal of customizations that can be applied to the phone. In addition, the new device offers users the possibility to organize their applications across a series of pages, for faster and easier access.

The Acer Stream also comes with support for social networking sites, including Facebook and Twidroid integrated with the address book, sports the Acer UrFooz solution for creating one's virtual “look-a-like,” and packs the Nemo player for multimedia playback. The free-streaming service called Spinlets is also present on the handset.
