Backup Your Firefox Profile with PortProfile

Everytime you installed firefox on a different machine or after a fresh OS installation, you also need to spend a lot of time to configuring it as before it was. You need to download all your favourite addons and make other setting and preferences to make Firefox as before. Portprofile is a simple app that could help you to do all this by take a backup of base firefox profile that you could then import everytime install new firefox. Portprofile is a java application that is distributed from the browser using java web start. The interface is pretty simple with two tabs, one for exporting a profile and the other for importing a profile. The selected profile is exported as a .ppz file to the users home directory. This file can be used to import the profile on any other machine. It will take a backup of your bookmarks, extensions, themes, history, settings etc.

After you run it just choose the Firefox profile you want to back up and give it a export name, and click the button. portprofile quickly make a backup of your bookmarks, extensions, themes, history, settings means everything to a single file in your drive. You can import it via Import tab when needed.
