Samsung Star Duos First 3G+2G DualSim Active Phone Now in India

Samsung announced to launch the Samsung Star Duos GT-B7722 Dual SIM in India. Samsung Star Duos dual SIM handset is the Industry’s first phone to supports 3G and 2G dual-active standby. The 3G + 2G (HSDPA + EDGE) Dual Standby expands communication networks by utilizing two SIM cards to expertly manage both work and life tasks in one unit, and allows switching  between both without re-powering the handset. This phone 1st launched in Sweden in June 2010. India known as one of the largest mobile phones emerging markets. 

Samsung Star Duos features a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen display with support for 262K colors (240 x 400 pixels resolution), TouchWiz 2.0 UI, HSDPA 3.6 Mbps and support for 9 regional languages. The bar mobile phone sports a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with Power LED flash, as well as video recording capabilities (QVGA@30fps).

Also supports Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, DNSe audio enhancing technology, SNS support, FindMusic service to identify songs, Document viewer, Stereo FM Radio with RDS, FM recording, 250MB internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expandable up to 16GB.

Samsung Star Duos measures 113.5 x 55.5 x 14.3 mm and weighs 112g (including battery). The feature-phone is powered by a 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery with a standby time of up to 420 h and up to 12 h 50 min of talk time. Those planning to get one of these dual SIM handsets should know that the device does not operate both SIMs together, so you will only be able to use one SIM at a time. To switch between the two SIMs, simply press the middle button on the phone's right side, without rebooting the phone while dedicated widgets seamlessly manage switching between 2 SIM cards. 

The Samsung Star Duos B-7722 has distinct business features and tools to maintain a mobile office, Active Sync which updates e-mails from the desktop to the user’s  mobile, phone book 2000 for organizing contacts, document viewer handles MS Office, PDF TXT and other files, Multi –language dictionary and an offline mode which allows the user to turn off his/her phone while he/she continues  to work on other functions. 
Samsung Star Duos also offers enhanced connectivity to various Social Networking Sites through wi-fi connections, users can upload photos & videos to sites like Facebook, YouTube and Flickr and Multi IM created  limitless chat opportunities to Palringo, Gtalk and AOL. 

The Samsung Star Duos will be available in India for a price of Rs. 12,300.
