Jing 2.4.1 Screen Capture/Recording Software

Jing is a tool to take a picture or make a short video of what you see on your computer monitor. You can share it instantly via web, email, IM, Twitter or your blog. Its very simple and free, Jing is a simple screen capture/recording software developed by TechSmith. Jing has its own image/video editing capabilities, its uploading/sharing features, and its always on top minimalist interface.
Jing for Screenshots:

~Initiate a capture by clicking Jing's happy always-ready "sun" icon. You can capture a window, pane, or region.
~Need to emphasize or explain? Mark up your screenshot with a text box, arrow, highlight, or rectangle.
~Just tell Jing where to send the screenshot and it's there and ready to share. When you send to a destination like Screencast.com or Flickr, Jing even places a hyperlink on your clipboard.
~Simply paste the link into an IM, e-mail, forum post, anywhere…and when the person clicks it they see your freshly-uploaded screenshot.

Jing for Screencasts:
~Select a window or region and Jing will record everything that appears in that area. Point to things with your mouse, scroll, flip through photos, click around in a website or application…Jing captures it.
~If your computer has a microphone, Jing can record your commentary at the same time. Since everyone prefers short and sweet, recording time is capped at 5 minutes.
~As soon as you're done recording, your screencast movie is ready to upload. The moment it's on Screencast.com [?], you've got a link ready to paste and share.
~Jing can put Screencast.com embed code on your clipboard instead of a link. Or you can save the SWF Flash video to a directory or FTP/SFTP site.

Both functions of Screen capture and recording are called up by a single hotkey, and thereafter you can change the suggested time-stamped filename, edit/copy it the clipboard it if it’s an image, save the file (PNG for image or SWF for video), or share it.

Jing also offer you to share or store your capture or screencast at Screencast.com. You will have to make a free Screencast account, and thereafter, any image or video you want to share will be easily accessible from your 2GB of online storage space, via a tiny URL, that’s automatically pasted in your clipboard. But you can do more with Screencast.com, like keeping your Jing's organized and allowing viewers to comment on your content.
