Android 2.3 Gingerbread is almost done now and appeared in an official video from the Google. Now we can hope that Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread is almost ready to release this new version of its mobile operating system. According to the video, which was a tutorial from Google Hong Kong, aimed at offering additional details on Google Voice Search. The handset looks like Nexus One on which Google Voice Search is being demonstrated. Now the notification area color has been changed to black with new icons.
The virtual menu key on the bottom of the screen has been placed on a black background and it's now flanked by two shortcuts. The final bit of UI polish in Android 2.3 Gingerbread is the restyled buttons in the settings menu. A somehow tweaked launcher bar placed at the bottom of the home screen. Now you will see some new tabs in the Android Market. There are three new tabs inside the app information page, one of which is "Related".

There is no official announcements about the features in next Android 2.3 Gingerbread but we can hope very soon a official release before the end of this year.
