Sony Ericsson to Launch First Android Phone W15 Under Walkman Series

Sony Ericsson has decided to launch the first Android based Walkman series phone. No wonder as the Sony Ericsson Walkman series phones have been one of the most popular phones and very popular specially for their superb music quality. And surely the combination of the Walkman and Android will be a good deal for Sony Ericsson.

The Walkman series was very successful for Sony Ericsson specially among the music lover and youth and when its joined with Android, it'll also liked by all the Android lovers.
According to news from Sems, Sony Ericsson has ready the first Walkman Android handset and it will be called Sony Ericsson W15. Rumor suggest the device will have support for lossless music format as well as a specially developed touch interface and special applications, which reflects the characteristics of a Walkman® phone. The  W15 will be look like as the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Android phone.

There is some rumored specs also available about Sony Ericsson W15. The W15 will be feature a 3 inch HVGA touchscreen display, 3.2-megapixles camera and a 600MHz processor. The W15 feature a dedicated music chip which specially designed for Walkman. The W15 will also have a specially developed touch interface and special Walkman applications on top of Android OS.

The upcoming Sony Ericsson W15 expected to launch around the quarter this year. Currently no info about the  Android OS version and the price range but expected to have a mid budget range.
