Be Aware of Gmail and RBI/Bank Fraud Phishing Emails Scam

I noticed again these day many case of fraud phishing email which showing they're from officials of your bank or RBI or even a mail from Google officials. They generally requesting for your e-mail id, username, password, account number, name etc. But be aware, it surly a scam, here how to verify it.

1. First in case you got a mail from RBI (Reserve Bank of India) or any other bank. The mail will ask you about all of your personal details, bank details, ATM/Credit card details. Here an exp of such a mail:
######Dear Sir/ Madam,
Reserve Bank of India is alerting all Bank customers about the improvement the bank has gotten over the threats going on Indian banks servers.
As part of our efforts to provide a safe and secure environment for the online community, we regularly screen account activity.
Our review of your account has identified an issue regarding its safe use and We have placed a restriction on your account as a precaution.
To lift the restriction we will require some further information from you to enable us REGISTER your account for OTP(one time Password), To proceed, please follow the steps below:
ONE TIME PASSWORD(OTP) ACTIVATION STEPS :
1. Open The Attachment In This Mail Which Contains A Verification Page.
2. Carefully Confirm Your details and Get Migrated Instantly .
3. After Successful Verification, You Will Be Redirected To Our Disclaimer Page.
4. In two weeks from your receipt of this mail, You Will Receive A Manual Containing A Pin And How To Activate It.
Thanks For Your Support In Helping Us To Serve You Better.########

And same time such mail will have a link to online form to submit all of your details, click here to see that fraud RBI page and click here for original RBI site to compare. When you open the link or download the file, it'll have a same look as original site of RBI and ask you to submit your bank, ATM card and other details. And even the sender mail id will be same as RBI domain (online.alert@rbi.org.in). And after you fill all details, and click on next/submit button, it'll show you en error page but all of your info submitted to hacker or person behind the seen.

2. Second in case you got a mail from Google officials! Yes even a mail can claim that its from official from Google and ask you to give info about your username, password, other details. Here an exp of such email:
########To confirm your account and making some vital adjustments in your account, Fill in the details below in order for our Staff to check and make a correspondence with your details stored in our Database. Guiding against Virus, Spam & Spy ware Protection has always been our ultimate goal.

Date of Birth :
Present Country :
Warning!!!! Account details not received within 72hours will be automatically shut down and closed permanently.

This kind of mail claim that its from officials and you must need to give all info otherwise your mail account will be terminated.


How to Understand it and Safeguard from Such Scams: Always remember a rule that your bank or RBI or your email website authority never ask you to give them your username, password, secret question, pin or any other account details until you login to site or forget your password. In such a case you got any mail which similar to above examples, never respond to them and select that mail and click on submit spam/mark as spam or report phishing.

The above email was received by me from drskwilliamspaymentfund2010@gmail.com on behalf of DIRECTOR FOREIGN PAYMENT DEPARTMENT RESERVE BANK OF INDIA RBI (directorforeignremittanc@hotmail.com)  who signed his name as Raju A Singh  Customer Care officer  and before that I received an email from the same officer. I told him my name was Chudai Wasta Lund and I asked him to transfer my funds in to a non existing bank Account at non Existing Bank I named FUDIWALA  Bank. This singh is a desi guy . He was not deterred by thye use of obscene names. I did not think he would write to me again., But he wrote to me again. Obviously he did not read my email.
