Huawei will soon launch the 7 inch tablet with Qualcomm dual core 1.2 GHz processor and latest Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS in Indian market. Huawei MediaPad is the world's first 7 inch Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet. MediaPad has a seven inch, high definition LCD WXGA (1280x800 IPS) screen with multi-touch activation.
The company has join hand with popular Indian writer Chetan Bhagat as the brand ambassador of Huawei products in the India. According to TOI quotes Huawei Devices India President Victor Shan said, "Chetan Bhagat is a youth icon and he has changed the dynamics of the publishing industry. Our endeavour is to bring high-end technology at affordable prices. Our target audience and values are the same".
Huawei had unveiled the 3G+Wi-Fi MediaPad in June this year. The other MediaPad tablet specifications are 1.3MP front facing camera and 5MP auto focus rear facing camera with HD video recording capabilities and HDMI port. The MediaPad supportsFlash 10.3, and is pre-loaded with apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Let's Golf and Documents to Go. According to Huawei, its the smartest, slimmest and lightest tablet and measured as 10.5 mm (0.4 inches) deep and weighs approximately 390 gm (0.86 pounds).
Other features of Huawei tablet supports HSPA+ data services, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and up to 32GB micro SD. The device comes with a 4,100mAh Li-Polymer battery with six hours of working time.
According to Victor Xu, chief marketing officer of Huawei Device, "With the Huawei MediaPad, we are demonstrating yet again that design, functionality and performance are within anyone's reach. The 7 inch tablet remains the preferred size for portability and Android Honeycomb 3.2 is dedicated to enhance the full potential of 7 inch tablets. Huawei is very pleased to be the first to offer this package to consumers globally".
The Huawei Media Pad tablet will be available in next month at the price expected around Rs 25,000. Huawei will also launch Huawei Vision smartphone after this tablet launch. The Huawei Vision specs are a 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen, Android 2.3, a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB of ROM.
