Indian mobile phone maker, Lava Mobiles has announced its first Android S12 smartphone. Lava S12 features Android 2.2 OS and powered by Qualcomm 7227 600 MHz processor.
Lava S12 has a 3.2 inch HVGA (480×320) Capacitive touch display with 262k colors and also features 5MP rear camera, 1300mAh battery. Lava has put their proprietary UI on top of Android 2.2 Froyo OS which transforms the home screen into a virtual 3D space and offers 16 customizable home screens.
Other specifications of LAVA S12 Android are 150 MB Internal memory, 2GB MicroSD card included and support upto 32 GB, battery 1300 mAh Li-Ion with Talk time – GSM up to 650 minutes; UMTS up to 485minutes and Stand by time – GSM up to 590hrs; UMTS up to 650 hrs.

Lava S12 also has pre-loaded apps on the smartphone including office suite, Facebook, Twitter, Nimbuzz, Saavn, Times of India, MoneyControl, TuneWiki, Zenga TV(1 year free subscription) and Hungama MyPlay along with Google apps. The smartphone will soon be available in the retail store and e-commerce portals. Also has unique smart folders and a rich set of animated 3D widgets.
For connectivity Lava S12 supports 3G HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps, EDGE/GPRS, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFI Hotspot, 3.5mm Headset jack, USB 2.0, PC connectivity with Lava Sync Tool and A-GPS.
