Samsung to release Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for all of its Galaxy series smartphones. Currently most of Samsung Galaxy smartphone running on Android 2.2 Froyo OS and until now their is no hope to get such an update.
But recently at the Samsung Galaxy Note launch event, an Samsung India executive stated that the company plans to roll out Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for its entire Galaxy series smartphones. This Gingerbread update is expected to release within this year end worldwide and if all these goes as stats then we can hope to get Gingerbread update from India as well.

The Android 2.3 Gingerbread was announced almost a year ago but still lots of Android smartphone running on Android 2.2 Froyo OS and almost hopeless to get any OS upgrade but after this new comment by Samsung executive we can hope for at least a one level upgrade to Galaxy series smartphones.
Currently most of Samsung smartphones like Galaxy Pop, Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Mini, Galaxy 551, etc running on Android 2.2 Froyo. Samsung to promote its Android smartphone or keep continue its big share in smartphone market, now ready to provides Android 2.3 Gingerbread update before the end of this year. Lets wait and watch.
