Indian telecom operator Idea Cellular will soon to launch their own Android smartphones. To grab the fasted growing smartphone and 3G market in India Idea plan to launch own branded low cost Android phone by OEM Huawei.

According to news, the Idea's Android smartphones will be available at very affordable prices and its a re-branded phone of entry-level phone by Chinese manufacturer Huawei, U8180 Ideos X1 Gaga Android phone. Idea will also offer its special 3G plans with this phone to attract more users. Though currently its all rumor and no official statement about it but we can hope it'll release soon.
Huawei Ideos X1 runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS and has a 528MHz processor Qualcomm MSM7225 chipset, 256MB RAM, 152MB Internal memory, microSD card up to 32GB, 2.8 inch capacitive display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution and 3.2MP camera. Ideos X1 weighs just 100 grams and Support 3G HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot. The phone has a 1200 mAh battery with Talk time
up to 4 h and stand-by up to 336 h. The Idea Android phone is suppose to be available around/under Rs. 5000 only.
Its common these days to use re-branded Chinese phone as own brand and all of Indian manufacturer and service providers doing same. For exp Reliance already offering a same kind of Chinese tablet, MTS even selling same smartphone as MTag 3.1 name, Spice, Videocon, Micromax etc all having re-branded Chinese Android phones.
