Google+ vs Facebook vs Twitter: Which Android App is the Best?

The open and customizable nature of Android, along with its long line of compatible electronic devices, makes it a big destination for mobile social media networking. Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are current giants ruling the internet social media arena. Their corresponding Android apps have also been designed to provide maximum options with a real-time user experience.

However, each of the three apps has come up with some unique features missing in others.

Google+ app has come up with some interesting options to group your acquaintances and easy group messaging. The grouping limits your posts and pictures to only the specified circle, thereby, maintaining privacy while allowing you to socialize at the same time. Another unique feature available only in the mobile version of Plus is Huddles. This lets you interact and message to all the members of a circle simultaneously, or with an individual, as per your needs. Hangouts permit easy group video chat. Android users will also cherish the capability of instant picture upload through Google+. Each of your clicks will be saved in a private folder, which you can opt for sharing later.

Facebook packs a whole lot of functionality in its Android app. Right from News Feed, Events, Photos, to Places and Groups, Mark Zuckerberg would not want his users to feel out-of-options while interacting with the large digital world. Facebook is already proved as a great social platform. Its business pages, support for games, questions & answers and the “new” look takes it leaps ahead of others. Moreover, the personal nature of the platform, a common place for friends to come together and indulge in sharing photos and feeds, makes it popular. Although, Facebook comes with a separate app dedicated for chats and messaging, apart from the traditional one supporting likes, status updates and pictures.

Twitter is regarded more as a public place to share news, tweet opinions on events and listen to what others say about them. You can follow experts, eminent personalities and your idols, without being friends with them, and get informed timely. Twitter app is good in terms of speed and efficiency in delivering notifications of @replies and direct messages. Pictures are easy to upload and the simplicity of this social networking media makes navigation trouble-free. TweetDeck, Tweetcaster and Seesmic are some other applications used by many people, instead of Twitter app. Out of these; TweetDeck is widely used and is officially owned by Twitter.
The social media network is being hit with an enormous number of mass each day. With the new Google+ filling gaps unthought-of by Facebook and Twitter, Facebook attracting 156.3 million people in 2011 and Twitter on a growth rate of 60% since 2010, your Android-based device is perfect for your digital internet-based communication needs anywhere at any time. In terms of leadership, each of the apps makes your Android world more fascinating. Google+ app has an advantage of the common Google platform with Android along with some of its interesting options, Facebook wins in actual usage and Twitter app satisfies its users by performing its role to the best.
