NokiaCooker is a free PC software which allow you to easily view, open and edit your phone's firmware files. NokiaCooker gives you a easy to navigate dual pane user interface and one pane show all folders arranged in a tree while another show relevant files.
NokiaCooker is a very easy to use computer application utility that allows you to open firmware files, view their content and modify it in editor. Its a very useful tool for general user and developers too. Nokia Cooker is reserved to the Cookers, which allows to modify the files containing the phone's firmware to create customized firmwares versions named Cooked-Firmware. The NokiaCooker is tested on Windows 7 but you need to try it it can be run on other desktop/laptops with other versions Windows operating system.
Nokia Cooker can modify data which is located in:
~ UDA
~ CORE (only ROFS1 data)
~ ROFS
~ ROFx
What's New in NokiaCooker v2.9:
~ Fixed: error message "can not read from the end of the stream" when repacking some UDA files (eg. X7)
You also need to remember that not all the ROFS/ROFx can be modded! Also modding a protected ROFS/ROFx you'll risk to brick the phone. If you aren't sure that your ROFS/ROFx can be modded, don't do it. The modding of the UDA, instead, is always a safe operation.
