Lava today announce the launch of an Intel powered Lava Xolo X900 Android smartphone in India. Lava is the first manufacturer who launching Android smartphone with Intel CPU which runs on Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.
The first smartphone in the world to pack an 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Medfield application processor inside with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, which can be upgraded to the newer Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It also feature Hyper Threading technology for great multi-tasking capabilities and improved battery life. The Lava Xolo X900 smartphone was also packed with 8MP rear camera with flash, 1.3 MP front camera, 400 MHz graphics core and 1GB of RAM. The Lava Xolo X900 was showcased at Mobile World Congress.
Its the joined project of Intel and Lava International Ltd., one of India’s fastest-growing mobile handset companies. Other specifications of Lava Xolo X900 are a 4.03” hi-resolution LCD screen of 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, dedicated HDMI output, full HD 1080p playback and dual speakers ensure an unmatched multimedia experience. With XOLO X900’s 400 MHz Graphics Processing Unit, 3D and HD gaming turn immersively realistic.
For connectivity it supports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and NFC were also included with this device, along with Hi Speed USB port, and support for HSPA+ networks.
The Lava Xolo X900 smartphone also comes with 16 GB of internal memory and with a 1460 mAh battery with up to 7.8 hours of talk time on 3G, and up to 14 days of standby time. Intel’s technology enables a high-performance user experience, all while maintaining great battery life – up to 5 hours of 3G browsing, 45 hours of audio and 8 hours of talk time1.
The Lava XOLO X900 smartphone will be available in India at Croma and Xolo.in from 23 April 2012. The Lava Xolo X900 will be priced INR 22,000. Later Lava Xolo X900 will be available for purchase to customers in other retail chains, general trade and online stores from early May.
