Huawei to Launch Ideos X6 and X5 Android 2.2 Smartphones in India

Huawei, a Chinese mobile manufacturer soon to launch the new Ideos X6 and X5 wihch run under run Android 2.2 Froyo in Indian market in third week of January 2011. Also Huawei to launched the Ideos U8140, a 2.8 inch Android 2.2 low-end phone in India this month under Rs. 8000 which surely big competitor for Micromax Andro A60. But the X6 and X5 are not low-end devices but still hope for affordable prices in India.

The Huawei  Ideos X6 featured 4.1 inch 800 x 480 pixel resolution screen, Qualcomm MSM 8255 Snapdragon 1 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM, 2GB ROM, 5 megapixel camera capable of recording 720p video at 30 frames per second, support for 14.4 Mbps HSPA+, WiFi b/g/n and is only 122 mm x 66 mm x 10 mm. Its has a Moto Droid X-like design.

The Huawei  Ideos X5 is also the same as as X6, but with a 3.8 inch screen, and a rounder design. Both are running Android 2.2 Froyo.

The both handset from Huawei should be great competitor for HTC Desire HD, the Motorola Droid X, Samsung’s Galaxy S etc. 

According to a news source of Huawei, "We are planning to launch Android based smartphones Huawei X5 and X6 around the third week of January, and as of now I cannot comment about its pricing."

Huawei is a Chinese manufacturer that has traditionally been known for their infrastructure equipments like cell towers, portable WiFi hotspot devices, USB dongles, but now they interested in mobile handset market.

Huawei should launch both new smartphones before the end of this year but no info about price.
