Research In Motion will soon to come with all new platform and smartphone of next generation which support full touchscreen. They'll be power with a dual core process and the first of them will be known as the BlackBerry Colt. The new smartphone will running on a QNX-based OS.
According to some rumors the super phone already emerged and has just made another appearance on the web. Now its has some more specifications of BlackBerry Colt, the SuperPhone. The BlackBerry Colt might be the first dual-core mobile phone from RIM, and could also be the first full-touch BlackBerry smartphone. It'll not have any trackpad like the Torch 9850/9860.
The BlackBerry Colt will offer a larger touchscreen display around 3.7" or bigger. The latest touch-enabled phones from the company like Torch 9850/9860 sports a 3.7" display. The phone also feature next-generation wireless connectivity.
RIM already announced that it'll to move away from the BlackBerry OS and will adopt the QNX platform for its smartphones in near future. QNX is a better platform for touch-enabled smartphones which having powerful hardware, and it seems that RIM is heading to this with the next high-end smartphones.
According to RIM Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis stated it would launch in early calendar 2012 but there is no specific release date yet. We need to wait until got more info about the specs and price of BlackBerry Colt, the SuperPhone.
